We are home from our vacation! It was a fantastic trip with lots of relaxation and lots of fun and lots of FOOD!! Too much food....lol!! There are soooooo many options that we don't have up here. And there is Krispy Kreme. Ahhhhh... Krispy Kreme. I almost cried today when I Krispy Kreme app flashed on that the donuts were hot and ready at the location nearest to my Mom's house. I need to delete that damned app. As penance and to cleanse ourselves from our decadence, we are eating vegetarian for a week. Jessi talks constantly about wanting to go vegan, and with her already having to eat gluten-free, I said no to her as our lives and grocery bills are already slave to her dietary needs. I am writing to y'all from Louisville, Kentucky! We have been visiting my Mom in Nashville all week and have been having a WONDERFUL time! I am so happy that I used my divorce as a learning experience to change my entire life and attitude towards life and those in my life. I can't (again) recommend that book I read ("getting past your breakup") enough. Of course like anything, it only works if you are open and ready to make a change, but I was and am so grateful to myself for embracing it. (Can you be grateful to yourself?) I am ALSO proud of myself because somehow I have figured out how to drive around in strange cities without getting lost or feeling freaked out about getting lost. I have been driving all over Nashville and Louisville LIKE A BOSS!!! LOVES IT!! One new feeling I am having on this trip is missing someone who I left at home. Last week we got around 2 feet... Last night 4 more inches.... And today it's snowing again. Geez. We have made the best of of though with lots of movies and cooking and of course pinning ;) I have spent this morning working on gussying up my blog and getting realllllly annoyed with blogger because it won't let me add all my friend's and family's blogs over on the side bar. It says they are there... But I have eyes... And they are not! While I have been fooling around on blogger and Pinterest, Lonnie has been drawing up plans to build me a bed I saw and fell I love within Pinterest. The man loves him a good project Tomorrow morning we leave for Nashville to visit Mom and I can't wait to escape this frozen tundra for a few days. We have some fun things planned and I am excited for some good running weather to get me back on track!

I am posting to you all right now from my new IPad!!!!! I have wanted one for YEARS.... Well since April 2010 when they first came on the scene. One of my biggest 'faults' is that I am an irresponsible spender. I decided long ago that I was NOT going to get an iPad until I could really get one responsibly.... Like not instead of paying my car payment and worrying about the car payment when the calls start coming from auto finance company. So I waited.... And waited... And lusted over my daughter's that she has from school and pretty much never lets me play with!!!! Brat! My waiting paid off when a friend if mine decided to sell hers because she wanted to buy a Mac book instead. So I got a really sweet deal :). Old me also would not have wanted a "used" iPad or would not have gotten it and paid more because she wanted a white one. That is old, spoiled stupid Colleen. This is new, awesome doin-shit-right Colleen!!! .....and the car payment is still on

Lonnie hid the rest of the bag from me so three is all I will have... Since his willpower is better than mine and he is not likely to give in to my begging for more.... Although that could be a fun challenge..... ;-) Oh right... I never talked about my endeavor on this new blog!! I am on a journey to lose the 30 pounds I have gained this year. Well.... Over the past few months. I still ended 2012 having lost some weight. Soooo.... Day 2 almost done. Stile in I CAN DO THIS mode!!!

I have felt lately that I have outgrown my old blog.  Even the blogs url referred to a life that I no longer live.  So here we are with a new blog to match my new life.
